The Violence Prevention Fund provides one-time, non-interest loans to assist women and individuals who identify as female, who have experienced domestic violence and/or gender based violence, and are seeking support to establish a safe and financially sustainable home. The program also provides referrals to community resources, advocacy, and empowers clients to navigate bureaucratic systems.

We are pleased to announce that until September 30, 2021 Violence Prevention Fund applicants may be eligible for a one-time, non-repayable Housing Grant to help secure and maintain safe housing. Please contact us for eligibility details.

The Violence Prevention Fund is funded by the Canadian Women’s Foundation and is administered through the Vancouver Rent Bank and The Network of Inner City Community Services Society (NICCSS)

1. Identify as female
2. Are experiencing or have experienced violence
3. Looking for assistance in finding a safe and financially sustainable home
4. Have a bank account or are on income assistance
5. Must be 19 years of age or older
6. Have 2 pieces of valid identification, one with picture
7. Cannot be in the process of, or currently in bankruptcy
